Why I love AvvaiShanmugi : among other reasons, the lady’s walking style !
Some would say that the movie is the tamil version of Mrs Doubtfire.
Indeed, it was inspired by the Robbin Williams flick.
But it goes far beyond that.

Reading pictures : Devar magangal
This photograph is history.
Here is the “Devar Magan” team, from left to right : cinematographer PC Sreeram, music director Ilaiyaraaja, actors Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Haasan, director Bharathan.
I love the “arms symmetry” around the fatherly figure of Sivaji Ganesan.
In the center, Sivaji sir has relaxed arms, just like the confident patriarch he is. To his left and his right, Kamal sir and Ilaiyaraaja sir have arms crossed in the back while Bharathan sir and PC Sreeram sir have crossed arms in the front : the four of them stand just like respectful disciples beside their master.
Words are not necessary when arms can speak.
Legends do have their own Legend.
