Here is a panorama of tamil cinema in 2018, not exhaustive, but only made as a tribute to my favorite films, without any will of ranking them.
This year of tamil cinema was marked by love in all its forms, of course, but also by the multiple facets of violence in indian society from North Madras in “Vada Chennai” to Dharavi in “Kaala”, from Puliyankulam in “Pariyerum Perumal” to the Western Ghats in “Merku Thodarchi Malai”.
